Roses, the first windsurfing spot of the Peninsula!!
Roses was the first beach in the Peninsula to have seen a windsurf board on the water, this was 1975. Now, in the year 2015, windsurfing has gained power again with the creation of the International GENWIND Windsurfing Center, born of the combined forces of the GENRoses and Simmer Style.
GENWIND is an avant-garde windsurfing center. The way the bay of Roses is situated makes the practice of this water sport all the more powerful and convenient, not only in Roses, but also in the whole Costa Brava, and by extension in Catalonia and Northern Spain, claiming itself as important a spot as Tarifa or those in the Canary Islands.
GENWIND can offer new and top quality Simmer equipment, fully renovated each year. The rental and training equipment is of a wide and assorted choice, allowing slalom or freestyle technique but is also appropriate for beginners.
The windsurfing center offers a great tourist attraction with hotels and local and international tour operators: package holidays for sports people or families but also accommodation during all the events and competitions is a quality plus.
GENWIND also helps promote windsurfing and windsurfers. Every year, local and international events and boat races are held, such as the European Championship in 2012, the YYM World Championship in 2014, the Escala-Roses crossing or the Open Slalom boat race on the second Sunday of each month.

At our GenWind Roses center, we can offer you a wide variety of NEW SimmerStyle windsurfing equipment, renovated every year for you to be able to windsurf at any time under the best conditions: Introduction, Freeride, Speed, Freestyle and Wave, as well as wetsuits, harness and helmet.
All the windsurfing material will be assembled and supervised so that you can navigate as fast as possible. Plus personal advice about the windsurfing equipment according to the wind conditions and your level.
If the wind conditions are not good, we can always offer Stand-Up Paddle boards, XXL Paddle and kayaks.
